Moo Selfie at The Square and Compass, Purbeck Dorset

Date: 11 May 2017

One of the most recognisable sights in Purbeck is a pub!  The Square and Compass in Worth Matravers, Purbeck, Dorset, is a must visit if you are in the area, famous for its Ciders and Pasties.  The pub has been in the same family for three generations and has not changed much for over a hundred years.  The current member of the family who runs the pub, Charlie Newman, can be seen in the village making his own Cider.

I have spent some lovely evenings at the Square and Compass, either enjoying the many live bands who play here or enjoying the stunning views over toward Tilly Whim Caves.

This painting was completed for Purbeck Arts Week 2017 but was sold before I managed to display it at the exhibition at Rollington Barn.  It is a perfect contender for my Mugs and prints which will be on sale at the Purbeck Artisan Yard or my Swanage Shop
