Pet Portraits

Lucy may be well known for her Moo Selfie paintings but has been painting pets for even longer. Since graduating University in 2007 Lucy began to paint pets to earn some money from her art (and because she absolutely loves animals!) it started with just paintings of friends pets but soon, through word of mouth and recommendations, the Pet Portrait portfolio grew and grew.

Lucy is continually working on commissions in her shop in Swanage, you'll often see her painting dogs, cats, horses and even more unusual pets like alpacas and the odd guinea pig!

A lot of Lucy's portraits are done in a more traditional style with just a focus on the pet itself but since the success of the Moo Selfie series Lucy has been increasingly requested to paint pets in the selfie style, with somewhere in the background that is meaningful to the pet and owners,

All the pet portraits are done with oil paints on to canvas and can be done to any size, Lucy is usually booked up for commissions about 2-3 months in advance but if you would like to commission one for a special date just get in touch. Lucy works primarily from good quality photographs (if you are fairly local and can bring your dog in to meet Lucy though it's always lovely!)

Below is a general guide to prices and sizes but if you are looking for a different size or something a bit more unusual then just let us know.
