"Powderham Castle is a historic family home in the heart of Devon. As the backdrop for Powderham Food Festival for the last 7 years, the Castle has seen the festival grow from strength to strength. For the first time this year, the team at Powderham Castle will be taking on Powderham Food Festival, using in-house expertise to help grow the already well-respected event.

Powderham Castle has already played host to many large-scale events, including BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend in 2016, plus concerts from Tom Jones, Craig David, Little Mix and many more. This year, Powderham Food Festival will have a bigger space than ever, with miniature food and drink ‘villages’, a kids zone, live music stage, talk stage and demonstration tent, for a weekend-long exciting event that has something for the whole family!

Derry Tydeman, Heritage Manager at Powderham Castle commented: “I’m delighted that we are able to take on the torch from Bob who has created and maintained such a well-respected event over the years. With the expertise of our in-house events team we will be able to grow further, and with partners already on board we’re looking to add some exciting additions to the festival.”
